Radical Accessibility: Organizing Events And Actions

How do we make our events and actions accessible to as many people
as possible? What does accessibility even mean? This workshop arms
participants with the basic tools to make events and actions accessible.
It will help participants develop a broader understanding of what
accessibility might mean, taking into account experiences, needs and
identities.
Queers Against Israeli Apartheid, or QuAIA, is holding a new members meeting for all those interested in joining. Come meet other queer activists and learn about how you can get involved in QuAIA's upcoming campaigns and actions!

The Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid (CAIA) and its associated committees are holding a new members meeting for all those interested in getting involved in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israeli Apartheid.
Rafeef Ziadah is a Palestinian spoken-word artist and activist. Rafeef started performing poetry in Toronto in 2003 with the spoken word collective Pueblo Unido and is the winner of the 2007 Mayworks Festival Poetry Face-Off. Rafeef’s poetry speaks to the struggle of immigrants to “make it to/in Canada ” and the politics of exile. Being Palestinian she reflects, in the CD, on the realities of her homeland today, a homeland to which she is not allowed to return.

Poverty and the Provincial Budget

The McGuinty government will release Ontario's 2010 budget on March 25th.
Even before the predicted cuts to social services, poor and working people are
being forced to endure the devastating brunt of the recession. From piecemeal
job cuts to impudent attacks on social programs, provincial policies are already
starving Ontario families.
We should be outraged, but we shouldn't be surprised; attacks against poor
people are standard fare in Ontario. In previous decades, grassroots movements

On March 25th, Ontario’s Liberal Government killed the Special Diet in the Provincial Budget. 20% of those on social assistance in Ontario had been getting this vital benefit and they will now be thrown into a crisis by a move that will rob them of the ability to buy food and pay the rent.
