JUNE 9TH - 40 YEARS OF OCCUPATION -- CHAPTERS/INDIGO DAY OF ACTION

WHAT: CHAPTERS/INDIGO DAY OF ACTION ||| WHEN: JUNE 9 ||| WHERE: INDIGO locations throughout Toronto (similar actions in other cities throughout Canada) ||| WHY: 40th year of Apartheid Israel's illegal military occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Syrian Golan Heights

In early June, Palestinians will mark 40 years of Apartheid Israel's illegal military occupation of the Palestinian West Bank, Gaza Strip and the Syrian Golan Heigths. The Active Steering Committee of the Palestinian BDS campaign has called for a global Day of Action to mark this anniversary with activities throughout the world.

To mark the anniversary in Toronto, join CAIA in front of Indigo Books and Music Inc. locations throughout the city on June 9 to send a clear message to majority shareholders Heather Reisman and Gerry Schwartz that their links to the HESEG Foundation for Lone Soldiers - which subsidizes mercenaries from abroad that want to serve in Israel's racist military - are unacceptable (campaign leaflet).

Toronto locations for pickets are listed below, please contact us at endapartheid@riseup.net and sign up for a location. The pickets will take place from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm – email us to sign up for a shift!
